Above is a map showing, the location of Olare Orok Conservancy where Porini Lion Camp is sited and Ol Kinyei Conservancy where Porini Mara Camp is located.
These are community-owned wildlife conservancies in the Mara eco-system where the local Maasai land-owners have set the area aside for wildlife.
Ol Kinyei Conservancy is 15,000 acres where Porini Mara Camp and Gameatchers Safaris have the exclusive use, so no minibuses or other tourists are to be seen!
We have a resident pride of 30 lions as well as cheetahs and leopards. The migration route for the wildebeest from the Loita plains to the Mara Reserve passes right through the conservancy.
The nearest airstrip for Safarilink is Siana Springs - we are about 15 km's away from the airstrip - a 25 mins transfer.
